BOOKING INFO
BOOKING SYSTEM
All bookings are to be made using my booking system - which you can find by clicking the ‘CLICK TO BOOK’ buttons dotted about the website.
To confirm your booking, the system will ask you for your card details. Failure to enter them will result in the system ‘timing out’ and no booking will be made. I cannot see your card details and no money will be taken from your account unless you cancel/reschedule with less than 72 hours to go before your appointment or no-show (please see T&Cs below). In this instance, it is preferable that fees are paid via bank transfer - if they remain unpaid after 24 hours, your card will be charged.
Please be sure to complete any and all consent forms asap - these will be emailed to you once your booking is confirmed. Failure to do so will result in your having to fill them in at your appointment, which will eat into your treatment time.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Cancellations, reschedules & amendments (changes to booked treatments) can be made on the booking site up to 72 hours prior to your appointment, after that your card will be charged a cancellation/reschedule fee as follows..
72 - 24 hours before the appointment will be charged 50% of the total appointment cost.
Less than 24 hours before the appointment and no-shows will be charged 100% of the total appointment cost.
No exceptions.
If you need to cancel, reschedule or amend your appointment inside of the 72 hour window, please contact me directly via Whatsapp or Instagram (you can find details of both at the bottom of the site and in your booking confirmation email), as the booking system locks appointments in this time.
LATE ARRIVALS
Please arrive on time.
If you are later than 5 minutes, there may not be enough time to carry out your treatment - this is classed as a no-show and you will be charged 100% of the appointment total.
I understand that life happens - if you are running late, please contact me asap.
PATCH TESTS
Patch tests are for your safety and peace of mind. Please check when booking if you require a patch test - this can be found by clicking the little ‘i’ next to each treatment option. I do not offer a waiver for patch tests.
Patch tests need to be booked for a minimum of 48 hours before the treatment is carried out, not on the same day.
Arriving to your appointment without having had a patch test (if required) will result in the treatment not being carried out and a 100% fee being charged.
I cannot chase people to book patch tests (I’m sorry, I just don’t have the time to check and chase!).
*An allergic reaction can still happen, even with a clear patch test result - but they do minimise risk.
FRIENDS, PARTNERS & CHILDREN
My studio is all about the 1-1 experience. I do not allow friends/groups, partners or children to sit in on treatments - my insurance only covers the client themselves.
The only exception to this is a parent chaperoning a client aged 16/17 (also with written consent for each appointment).
INTIMATE WAXING
At LaLa Beauty, you must be 18+ for a Hollywood, Brazilian or High Bikini. ID may be requested upon arrival.
Those aged 16/17 can book for a Regular Bikini and all other treatments, but must be chaperoned by a parent and have written consent for each appointment.
Please note: I am unable to wax scotums - I have not trained in this, so am not covered by insurance to do so.
PERIODS?
I get asked a lot if intimate waxing is possible when someone is on their period - ABSOLUTELY.
Pop a fresh tampon or clean cup in before you head to your appointment and we’re good to go! Tampons (pads & wipes) are always available here, too!
Waxing may slightly more painful during your period - if you’re worried, feel free to take a paracetamol half an hour before your appointment (even if you’re not on your period/don’t have them).
PREGNANT?
Body & Intimate Waxing: We’re good to go! After the first trimester (12 weeks) the positioning will just be slightly different, so you’re not laying on your back. Please bear in mind that you may be more sensitive due to hormonal changes.
Facial Waxing: As above - you’re still good to get waxed! However, it is important to remember that your skin may be more sensitive and prone to lifting/grazing.
Lash Lifts: Whilst it is possible to have your lashes lifted while pregnant (after the first trimester) or breastfeeding, there are some important things to remember:
- A change in hormones can affect the results and lashes may not lift as much as hoped.
- In the event of an allergic reaction (which can still happen even if nothing shows up after your patch test), you may be limited with which medications you can take. Due to this, you must check with your doctor/midwife before booking.
Tinting: Tinting (both lashes and brows) is considered safe during pregnancy after the first trimester, however there are some things to be aware of:
- Due to hormonal fluctuations, you hair may not absorb the tint as expected.
- Your skin may be more sensitive, meaning allergic reactions are more likely even if you have had tinting before/no reaction showed after your patch test. Please check with your doctor/midwife before booking.
A patch test MUST be carried out at least 48 hours before lash lift/tinting treatments if:
- You have never had them done by ME (even if you have had them done elsewhere).
- It has been 6+ months since your last lash/tint appointment with ME.
- You have had a new medical diagnosis, started new medication or had Covid since your last treatment.
- You are pregnant and/or breastfeeding.
INCLUSIVITY
LaLa Beauty is a safe space. Whatever your race, religion, sexuality, gender, body size - you are welcome here.
Please note: I am unable to wax scotums - I have not trained in this, so am not covered by insurance to do so.
Neurodivergent? Sweet, me too!
Anxious? Tired? Just not in the mood to talk? No problem! You can select the ‘Silent Appointment’ option when booking or just message me to request this. Music is also optional.
(I will need to talk to you occasionally - to welcome you, ask you to move position, check that you’re happy etc)
Unfortunately, at this time I do not have a wheelchair ramp - but purchasing one is high on my to-do list, as is an electric bed. I just need to financially recover from the renovation first!
The toilet is gender neutral, but unfortunately isn’t big enough to accommodate a wheelchair (it’s an old building, I’m sorry).
ZERO TOLERANCE
I do not and will not tolerate any kind of racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or any other hate filled speech/actions in the studio.
Respect and kindness are key here - if you feel that is unreasonable, I am not the beauty therapist for you.
If you have any questions, please do get in touch and I’ll get back to you asap!
See you soon!
