BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT: WAXING
BODY WAXING
If you’ve been shaving or using hair removal cream, allow the hair to grow for a minimum of 3 weeks before your first wax.
Exfoliate the area 2-3 times a week (but not on the day of your appointment) and moisturise daily.
Stay out of the sun and use SPF. Sunburned skin cannot be waxed.
Avoid using sunbeds for 4 days before your wax.
Avoid alcohol in the 24 hours before and caffeine on the day of your appointment (you can grab a latte after, I promise!).
INTIMATE WAXING
If you’ve been shaving or using hair removal cream, allow the hair to grow for a minimum of 3 weeks before your first wax.
Exfoliate the area 2-3 times a week (but not on the day of your appointment) and moisturise daily.
Avoid alcohol in the 24 hours before and caffeine on the day of your appointment (as above, you can grab a cuppa after!)
Wear cotton underwear. Avoid lace and thongs - these will irritate the area after waxing. Even better, bring a fresh pair to change into after.
Wear something comfortable and loose-fitting to avoid friction and discomfort.
Take some paracetamol half an hour before your appointment if you’d like to.
On your period? Not a problem! Just pop a fresh tampon or clean cup in.
Allow the hair to grow for a minimum of 3 weeks before your first wax.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure/sunbeds for a minimum of 4 days before your appointment and be sure to use SPF.
Stop using Retinols/Retinoids/AHAs/BHAs a minimum of 7 days before your appointment. If in doubt, check the ingredients of your skincare or contact me.
